A dermatofibroma is a common, benign (non-cancerous) skin growth, also known as a fibrous histiocytoma. These typically appear as small, firm, and raised nodules on the skin, most commonly on the legs, arms, or upper back. They are usually painless, but can sometimes be itchy or tender.
